The professional desktop range includes the HL-L2865DW, MFCL2960DW and MFC-L2980DW and is designed to offer businesses the quality and performance of a large enterprise model in a compact unit. The HL-L2865DW weighs 7.1kg, and the MFC-L2960DW and MFCL2980DW both weigh 12.4kg, with every component optimised to reduce overall machine size, helping businesses to make the most of their office space without compromising on performance. All three devices comply with new PSTI privacy and data security regulations and come equipped with security features such as firmware encryption and BLI security validation. The MFC models also have AD and LDAP user authentication. In addition, the flagship MFC-L2980DW has a builtin NFC reader to ensure only authorised individuals can print. The MFC-L2960DW and MFC‑L2980DW are compatible with Brother Cloud Solutions, which includes products such as Tungsten Automation’s ControlSuite and cloudbased Printix for document workflow authentication, access controls and activity management. All models are available under a managed print service (MPS). Brother offers a choice of three MPS packages – MPS Essential, MPS Professional and MPS Enterprise – to suit the needs of all businesses, from small organisations with low print requirements to large, multi-site corporations. Features include fast print speeds of 34ppm, 5GHz WiFi, Ethernet and USB connectivity and a 250-sheet paper tray. MFC devices have a 50-sheet ADF, providing two-sided scanning at speeds of up to 22.5ipm; an 8.8cm colour touchscreen; and an energysaving Planar Heating Element offering a 50% faster first page out time than previous models. Terry Caulfield, chief commercial officer at Brother UK, said: “Businesses are looking to make better use of their office spaces, introducing break out areas and changing layouts to support hybrid working, and they’re reassessing their tech at the same time. Our new mono laser line offers all the benefits of our market-leading SOHO devices, being quiet, compact and cost-effective, with the unrivalled quality, speed and connectivity of a high-performance business model. “Minimal maintenance and a robust and durable design enable businesses to be confident the new range meets the demands of a busy workplace. We’re also seeing firms refreshing how they procure and manage technology, with an increasing demand for subscription and contractual printing. Having the new range available with MPS options will help customers maximise their productivity, efficiency and sustainability.” www.brother.co.uk New Kyocera mono devices destined to be best sellers Kyocera Document Solutions UK is maintaining its commitment to low cost, reliable, carbon-neutral printing with the launch of the compact ECOSYS MA4000wifx series of 40 pages per minute mono devices.
