26 01732 759725 WHAT’S NEW New price plans Epson has introduced new price plans to its ReadyPrint ink subscription printing service. A new low monthly cost plan has been added to Epson’s ReadyPrint Flex service, available for Epson WorkForce and Expression Home printers. Priced at just 99p, the lowest monthly cost plan available, it is perfect for low use customers who only want to print up to ten pages per month. The addition of a new lower monthly cost plan means there are now six plans available ranging from 10 to 500 pages a month. With ReadyPrint Flex, customers choose a set number of printed pages per month (99p for 10 pages, £1.99 for 30 pages, £2.99 for 50 pages, £4.49 for 100 pages, £9.99 for 300 pages and £16.49 for 500 pages) with unused pages rolled over for up to 2 months. For customers who prefer to avoid cartridges altogether, three new price plans have been added to ReadyPrint EcoTank. These include a new 150 page per month plan for £4.99 per month and for the heaviest print users, new 1,000 and 3,000 page plans (£14.99 and £29.99 respectively) are also available. ReadyPrint EcoTank has five plans with prices based on monthly print volumes. There are also plans for 300 pages (£7.99 a month) and 500 pages (£9.99 a month). With all ReadyPrint EcoTank plans, an EcoTank printer is delivered for use while the plan is active and a return to base warranty is included. www.epson.co.uk Focus On: What’s New Nutanix launches cloud clusters Nutanix has announced the general availability of Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on Microsoft Azure, extending its hybrid cloud environment to Microsoft Azure dedicated bare metal nodes. NC2 on Azure offers a seamless hyperconverged infrastructure and unified management spanning private and public cloud environments to accelerate hybrid cloud adoption. NC2 on Azure enables customers to deploy and manage their workloads in their own Azure account and VNet enabling them to keep the operating model simple and consistent between Azure and on-premises. www.nutanix.com Lexmark enhances cloud services Lexmark has announced updates to its cloud services platform, including Lexmark Translation Assistant (LTA), a solution that provides real-time document translations services. Customers can scan documents in the original language using a Lexmark MFP, select the appropriate output language from several choices, and receive a translated document within minutes. In addition to LTA, Lexmark also launched Lexmark Cloud Scan Management, a cloud-based portal. Lexmark Cloud Scan Management offers significant savings for businesses that require direct access to paper documents in distributed locations. The cloud-based portal enables add-on shortcuts to a Lexmarkenabled device for scanning directly to remote file-sharing services, including Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint, and Google Drive, increasing efficiency and aligning online and paper-based documents. The OEM also released several upgrades to its cloud print management offerings to enable faster, more secure cloud-based printing. www.lexmark.co.uk Canon extends imagePRESS V series Canon has announced two new additions to the imagePRESS V series, the flagship V1350 and the V900 series. Setting new standards in cut-sheet toner productivity, the V series is the latest evolution of the imagePRESS family. Featuring technological enhancements that take its performance to a new level, while making it easier to use, the V series enables both commercial and in-house print service providers to overcome their production challenges and meet customer demands for high quality, dynamic print content produced to the tightest deadlines. The V1350 offers the highest print speed, productivity and durability of the imagePRESS family.
