50 billion metres of flm

Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, Tesa Films has introduced an invisible adhesive tape with a special surface that can be written on with a ballpoint, felt-tip, fountain pen or gel pen.

Being almost invisible, the tape is ideal for repairing torn documents and has the added beneft of not showing up when copied. It also leaves no residue if removed from smooth surfaces such as flm, foil or plastic. Tesaflm invisible is compatible with all tesaflm dispensers and comes in lengths of 10, 33 and 66 metres.

Tesa was set up 75 years ago. The success of its frst products, tesa-Klebeflm (renamed tesaflm in 1941) and the tape dispenser that followed, established tesa as a major player in the stationery market. In the last 75 years Tesa has sold more than 50 billion metres of tesaflm. In addition to its tesaflm brand, which now includes more than 300 products,

Tesa manufactures tesapack packing tapes and dispensers; tesa Powerstrip adhesive strips for securing items weighing up to 1.5kg; tesa TACK adhesive pads; and tesa Clean Air flters that remove up to 94% of particle emissions from laser printers.

Hamelin says it with fowers

Hamelin Brands marked the 100th anniversary of Basildon Bond with a specially designed stand in the Small Gardens section at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Designed byWilliam Quarmby, runner up in the RHS National Young Designer of the Year Award 2010, the Basildon Bond Centenary Garden featured several references to Basildon Bond’s history. These ranged from plantings of inky blue, pen-shaped irises to a mill made from reclaimed bricks – a homage to the Aspley Mill in Hemel Hempstead. There was even a wall made from waterproof paper, surrounding a stream and seating area where visitors could sit and pen letters to friends or family.
