The NEW HSM SECURIO P - Range shredders with Intelligent Drive - innovative and intuitive
The German-built HSM SECURIO Professional Shredder range is
perfect for large office environments. With hardened cutting rollers
engineered from solid steel matched to robust gearbox mechanisms,
they provide consistent high performance and their large volume bin
capacity means that they need emptying far less often.
The HSM P-Series with Intelligent Drive offers three different
operating modes in one machine - Silent Mode for particularly quiet
operation; Standard Mode, which achieves optimum continuous
shredding throughput, and, for maximum cutting throughput,
Performance Mode shreds up to 40% more sheets than Standard
Mode.
The unique and intuitive high-resolution 4.3" touch screen operating
panel displays all relevant information, such as operating mode,
status, consumables information, and local service contact details.
Warning and error messages come complete with step by step
troubleshooting procedures. The new efficient motors use less
electricity than the old machines with better performance and further
save energy by going into standby mode after one minute and
switching off completely after eight hours.
With new smart, anti-jam technology, the machines
automatically detect if too much paper has been
fed in, and either briefly boost the motor power to
process the stack, or if there are too many additional
sheets, it will autoreverse as normal.
In addition to these standard, built in features,
P Series models have additional options, such as
separate CD cutting units to shred CDs, DVDS and
credit cards, into small particles. The shredded media
material can then be disposed of separately to the
shredded paper.
Another optional feature on very high security
models is metal detection, which protects the
cutting unit from damage by staples and paperclips
by stopping the unit before metal items reach the
cutting head.

HM’s Revenue and Customs department spending it wisely
The UK’s authority responsible for the collection of taxes, payments and customs will replace
50,000 monitors over the next three years with the Philips 221B6LPCB to meet the principles
of ‘Greening Government’. This display is an excellent choice both from an environmental and
a value standpoint. It is feature-packed with a 21.5-inch display in 1080p resolution, 4 USB 2.0
ports and built-in speakers. Conceived as an environmentally friendly monitor, the 221B6LPCB
is built with 85% post-consumer recycled plastics. Its PowerSensor detects whether a user is
present. If the user is away, it automatically reduces its brightness and thus cuts energy costs by
up to 80%. The SmartErgoBase enables ergonomic adjustments for a healthy posture, and the
Flicker-Free feature reduces eye-fatigue.
