UC compatibility
One of the biggest arrivals in the
developing unified communications
(UC) market is undoubtedly Microsoft
Lync. Consequently Sennheiser is
working closely with Microsoft and has
developed the DW Series wireless and
CIRCLE line series of wired headsets
to provide seamless integration and
full compatibility with Microsoft
Lync, resulting in the interoperability
certification of the DW series by
Microsoft. UC ready, DW wireless series
headsets switch connectivity between
the desk phone and PC VoIP clients at
the press of a button.
Strategic partner certifications with
other VoIP major players such as Avaya,
Cisco, IBM, Aastra, and Siemens further
ensure that customers will find installing
and pairing Sennheiser headsets with
their devices as simple as can be.
The CIRCLE Line series
Sennheiser recently introduced the
CIRCLE Line series of wired headsets
for call centre and office workplaces.
To withstand the stresses and strains of
a busy office CIRCLE line headsets are
fitted with a reinforced metal headband
designed to last for years. Productivity
features include a noise cancelling
microphone to filter out ambient
noise for optimum speech clarity, and
Sennheiser HD Voice Clarity wideband
sound to ensure a more natural sounding
experience.
The CIRCLE Line series has already
been awarded an ‘Office Oscar’ with the
statement that “Sennheiser headsets
excel in sound quality, durability and
comfort which are essential in any
environment where the user will have
medium to heavy call usage.” The CIRCLE
Line series has also won the prestigious
Business Info ‘Editor’s Choice’ Award
from this magazine.
At the highly renowned red dot
design awards Sennheiser’s SC 260
CIRCLE headset won a coveted award.
This headset impressed the jury of
experts with its attractive, comfortable
design and productivity enhancing
features. The red dot design awards are
established internationally as one of
the most appreciated seals of quality
for outstanding design. In 2011 alone,
The company’s commitment to quality
and acoustic excellence means that
it is the acknowledged leading global
brand for high quality headsets and
microphones used in professional
broadcasting, the music industry and
aviation all of which demand high
quality speech and audio. Sennheiser
is constantly developing new solutions
to meet the changing needs of its
customers and the company has R&D
facilities located in Germany, Denmark
and Palo Alto, California.
“Although we have an outstanding
brand reputation our products are more
cost-competitive than most people think
– high quality and better communication
does not mean high prices”, Bauers
explains. “We market premium products
generating a better total cost of
ownership for our customers in terms of
maintenance, reliability and durability
over the whole product life.”
Millions of Sennheiser headsets are
in daily professional use in the UK says
Bauers. “Our customers include many
well-known British-based companies
and organisations including, for
example, British Airways for both pilots’
headsets and in-flight entertainment;
and the BBC that makes extensive
use of our professional headphones
and microphones for both studio
broadcasting and location work.”
For many years Sennheiser has had an enviable reputation in the headset
market, with a legacy of over 65 years as experts in acoustics and audio
technology. While the company has always been a brand leader in the
consumer headset market it is now making significant inroads into the
professional business headset sector.
“Sennheiser is no longer
the best kept secret in
the industry”, comments
Christian Bauers, Head of
Telecoms Sales and Marketing
for Sennheiser UK, “Solutions
such as the DW and CIRCLE
Line series headsets have
been greatly received by
