Office technology sales and service
provider Midshire is increasing
awareness of its Desktop Monster
hosted desktop solution with vibrant new
car graphics featuring the brand’s purple
monster mascot Brian.
Group Marketing Manager Adrienne
Topping said: “Brian has become a big
character for the Desktop Monster brand,
and wherever possible we want to promote
the product and brand in a fun way. We
take our mascot to all important events
and people usually queue up to meet him
and have a selfie. They love him! We’re over
the moon with the new Desktop Monster
car graphics and I’m sure there will be
more vehicles to follow.”
Desktop Monster, which gives
employees secure access to centralised
business files from anywhere in the world,
at any time and on any device, was named
‘Best Technology Product’ at the Talk of
Manchester Awards in December 2016.
The solution was also instrumental in
helping Midshire secure a contract with US
Tax & Finance Ltd – the first international
contract in the company’s 27-year history.
The financial advisor has offices in
Geneva, Zurich and London and used to
run two entirely separate infrastructures
in London and Switzerland. This was
expensive and made collaboration difficult.
Midshire proposed a two-stage
solution, starting with IT support for all of
US Tax offices, including 24-hour service
desk, infrastructure support, disaster
recovery and back-up. This will be followed
by migration to the Desktop Monster
hosted desktop solution.

Cobweb named Microsoft
CSP Momentum Partner of
the Year
Cobweb Solutions has been named
Microsoft CSP Momentum Partner of
the Year at the Cloud & Hosting Summit
2017. Managing director Michael Frisby
received the award from Aziz Benmalek,
Microsoft Vice President WW Hosting &
Cloud Services.
He said: “This award reflects all of the
hard work of everyone within Cobweb and
Vuzion over the last 12
months. We have seen
a 300% increase in our
CSP customer base in
the last 12 months and
now deliver services
to more than 200,000
cloud users. This award
is recognition of a true
cross-company effort to

years’ experience in cloud delivery across
a range of services from partners including

Cobweb launched its cloud aggregator
brand Vuzion in March last year. By helping
100s of resellers successfully transition to
selling Microsoft Cloud services via CSP,
Vuzion has contributed 70% of the CSP
customer growth over the last 12 months.

Partner status from Hyland in recognition

Synaxon
Channel services group Synaxon is
expanding its senior UK team to support the
further growth of its members. Former UK
Channel Manager Nathan Addison returns
as Cloud Business Development Manager
to help members grow and develop their
cloud services business. Lisa Winstanley,
who has more than 14 years of experience
in the public sector and commercial retail
marketing, joins as Marketing Manager.
Google honours Go Reply
Go Reply, the Reply Group company
specialising in cloud-based services on
Google Cloud technology, has received
the Google Cloud 2016 EMEA Partner
Award for Google Cloud Platform
Customer Success. The award recognises
Go Reply for its sales, marketing,
technical and support excellence.
