WHAT’S NEW
Built for speed
HP Inc. has introduced two new A3 MFPs for managed print
services customers in need of high-volume imaging and light
production printing. Offering the fastest print and scan speeds in
HP’s MFP portfolio, and the highest print volumes, the HP MFP
S965dn (65ppm) and
HP MFP S975dn
(75ppm) can
scan up to
200 images
per minute.
Sharp MFP
Sharp Europe has added a new
A3 MFP to its MX range of mono
devices for small businesses and
workgroups. With a print speed
of 35 pages per minute and a
colour scan speed of 56 images
per minute, the MX-M356N is
the fastest machine in the range.
Operation is via a seven-inch
colour LCD screen that also
displays thumbnails and previews
of copy and scan jobs. An optional
wireless LAN adapter provides a
connection to Sharpdesk Mobile
Print for printing from tablets and
smartphones. The standard paper
capacity of 1,100 sheets can be
expanded to 2,100.
Print and give
Xerox reseller Document XL is re-launching a charity fund-raising
initiative originally developed in 2011. The Charity-Wrap scheme
provides charities with a regular source of income by linking
donations to office printing. Every time a participating business
prints a colour page on a Charity-Wrap printer, Document XL will
donate 1p to charity. Document XL Managing Director Stephen
Dobson said: “Many businesses are too busy to run charity events
and collect sponsorship, and those who do have to limit it to a few
times a year. With Charity-Wrap we are making it easy for people to
support a cause close to their heart, with no effort.” He hopes the
scheme will raise £1 million for charities nationwide. In addition
to the 1p donations, he is inviting businesses to make additional
contributions based on a percentage of the savings he says they
will make by switching from an old device to a new Charity-Wrap
printer.
