Connected planner
The Slice Planner is a hybrid planning
system designed to bridge the gap between
paper planners and digital calendars. A free
app captures events from the notebook and
adds them to your digital calendar, using
optical character recognition powered by
Google Cloud Vision. Other useful features
include the ability to capture, email or save
whole pages of notes or a calendar event.
Using the Smart Crop feature, you can draw
a line around specific sections of notes to
crop only the content you need.
Top designs
Canon has received 2017 iF
Design Awards for several new
printer products including the
imagePROGRAF PRO-1000
large format inkjet printer, the
third generation imageRUNNER
ADVANCE multifunction office
systems and the i-SENSYS
LBP350/LBP710 series laser
printers. This is the 23rd
consecutive year that Canon
products have been recognised
for the quality of their design.
Creative displays
Bringing new possibilities to interior design in offices,
public buildings and exhibition spaces, Antalis has
added nine new range extensions to its Sign & Display
portfolio. These include new creative finishes for the
Coala non-woven wall design; a fire-rated roller banner
pop-up display for exhibitions and conferences; new
adhesive coated Drytac products including a removable
carpet that can be applied to short pile carpet and an
anti-microbial laminate that prevents the growth and
spread of bacteria; and more rigid Foamlite PVC foam
sheets for signage applications.
Kodak cartridges
DCI Ltd,
Europe’s leading
remanufacturer
of ink and toner
cartridges, is
producing a range of
Kodak-branded ink
and toner cartridges
for use in HP, Epson,
Canon, Samsung
and Brother printers.
The cartridges will
be made at the
company’s 32,000m² UK production facility and will cost
20-40% less than equivalent branded products.
Pocket scanner
Pup is a single-button wireless pocket scanner. It identifies the
corner of a document; adjusts luminosity, curve and size; and
shares the scanned file straight to the cloud, your mailbox or a
printer. An OCR feature extracts text from the scanned image for
importing into Word and Excel. Shipping of Pup is expected to
start in May.
