Struggling with organisation?
A new study from office experts Avery reveals that
70% of UK office workers find it hard to keep on top
of organisation at work.
Simply not having enough time in the day to stay on
top of things was one of the most common responses
recorded in Avery’s research, with a quarter of office
workers saying there are so many other important things
to prioritise that paperwork and organisation always get
left to one side.
Messy desks and untidy workspaces scored highly on
the list of problems that arose as a result of not having
time to get organised. Day-to-day tasks that office
workers struggle with include the filing of important
documents (cited by 38% of people) and the proper
organisation of files and folders by labelling them clearly.
It even emerged that only four in ten office workers
actually stick to a strict filing system!

Get the best
from your office paper
Data Copy, one of Europe’s trusted office
papers warns that in order to achieve great
print results, it’s important to keep your office
paper in perfect condition. They advise keeping
paper dry and away from damp, storing it away
from heaters, buying paper by the box as this
offers the best protection during delivery and
storage, leaving it in the ream wrapper until
you need it and, if the storage area is colder
than the office, giving the paper some time to
warm up before you put it in the printer.

Smell of success
To help inspire and motivate users of its
serviced offices, Avanta Managed Offices
has developed a special fragrance for its
20 UK business centres. Ascent by Avanta
was developed with the help of Ruth
Mastenbroek, formerly President of the
British Society of Perfumers. She said: “We
wanted to capture the innovative spirit of
the Avanta workplace and therefore sought
to use fragrance notes that would energise
and uplift. This included peppermint to
clear the mind and increase focus and
concentration, as well as citrus notes which
have an uplifting effect.”
