Let’s look at some of the
new innovations in detail:
Hosted telephony
Most businesses have traditionally
bought a phone system to route calls
internally. This requires an expensive
upfront cost and usually an annual
maintenance contract. The phones used
can also be expensive because they are
only available from the phone system
manufacturer.
Now there are hosted phone services
with phone system functionality
provided remotely in the ‘cloud’. Spitfire’s
hosted telephony service is called SIP
Communicator™ and can be set-up in
minutes. The SIP compatible handsets
used with the service are available from
a range of manufacturers so they are
relatively inexpensive. Once installed
there is a monthly charge for the service.
SIP Communicator™ is ideal for
businesses with home workers or workers
in different locations as staff can call
each other free of public phone network
charges and incoming calls can be routed
to any location. In addition to the usual
phone system features of holding and
transferring calls, SIP Communicator™
provides voice mail, auto-attendant and
conference call functionality.
The beauty of the service is that if
you move offices, you just arrange to
have the service switched to your new
location, just like moving your electricity
account!
Thousands of businesses are now
successfully using a hosted telephony
service because it requires a very small
initial outlay, has low running costs and
is flexible with free calls between staff
whatever their location.
SIP Trunks
With cost-savings a critical factor for all
businesses in these difficult economic
times, Spitfire can offer SIP Trunks
providing a cost-effective alternative to
using conventional ISDN phone lines.
This is now a proven technology that
businesses can adopt with full confidence.
Spitfire’s SIP Trunks offer business quality
secure telephony at typically up to 50 per
cent less than the monthly rental cost of
an equivalent ISDN service, a saving no
company can afford to pass up!
Spitfire recently won the Editor’s
Choice Award in
Business Info
magazine
for our SIP Trunk service.
High-speed internet
A range of relatively inexpensive internet
access services are now available offering
high-speed, reliable connections for
businesses that rely on their internet
access for ‘cloud’ hosted services and
applications.
The options include new fibre
broadband, VDSL or the new generation
of Ethernet connections. It’s not as
complicated as it sounds and Spitfire can
advise on the most cost-effective way of
delivering high-speed internet access for
your business needs.
..if you move
offices you
just arrange
to have
the service
switched to
your new
location...
