Londoners could have cycled
353 times around the world
on their Boris bikes’, according
to new research from business
intelligence consultancy frm
Project Brokers.
The research, released to coincide
with the frst year anniversary of
the Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme
revealed that the frst six months of
the scheme saw Londoners cycle the
equivalent of 353 journeys around
the world’s circumference (8.8
million total miles cycled).
The average speed of a ‘Boris
bike’ journey is 8.7mph and the
most popular journey for Londoners
to take on one of the bikes is the
Concert Hall approach from the
Waterloo Station docks. The fewest
journeys are made from Marylebone
fyover.
This month’s offce* show is defnitely flling a much needed gap in
the UK offce products market. In its second year, the show has grown
exponentially to accommodate 175 exhibitors, with over two thirds of
the companies exhibiting new to the event.
