Currently, more than one-third of solution providers globally generate 20% or more of their revenue through marketplaces. The main benefit of marketplaces for solution providers is the ability to offer products and services to a global market with minimal overhead, which can lead to increased profitability (cited by 46%), supported by better customer data analytics (cited by 38%). When choosing a marketplace, providers consider the solution’s analytics capability, ease of use for customers but, above all, its cost-effectiveness. Nearly half of global respondents said they prioritise value for money when developing their marketplace strategies, balancing costs such as fees, commissions and marketing spend against new revenue and growth streams. Larry Walsh, CEO and chief analyst at Channelnomics, said: “Marketplaces are becoming indispensable to managed service providers (MSPs) to scale more efficiently, tap into valuable customer insights, and drive new revenue streams. Our survey’s findings highlight the growing importance of digital sales platforms in transforming go-to-market strategies and optimising the customer experience. As digital commerce evolves, MSPs should embrace these platforms to ensure long‑term growth and profitability.” www.channelnomics.com … ProVu celebrates first 25 years Management and employees of Huddersfield-based ProVu Communications have celebrated the comms, data and security distributor’s 25th anniversary with a day of hospitality at York Races and an overnight stay in the city.
