The new generation
SPC340DN/SPC342DN
The Ricoh SPC340DN and SPC342DN (with 4.3 inch
touch panel) are next generation A4 colour printers
for small businesses and small workgroups.
Suitable for print volumes of up to 6,000 pages
a month, they have print speeds of up to 25 pages
per minute with a first page out time of less than 14
seconds. A high speed processor ensures that even
large jobs are completed quickly.
A print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi makes
these printers ideal for producing high quality
professional colour output, while their small, compact
design means that they can even be used in a home
office. For high volume users, an optional 500-sheet
paper tray keeps user interventions to a minimum.
With wired and wireless connectivity and the
ability to print from USB and SD cards, these devices
have flexibility built-in, with the option of printing from
a smartphone or tablet via Ricoh apps, airprint and
Wi-Fi Direct.
SP C440DN
For businesses that require high speed colour
output, Ricoh recently introduced the Ricoh SP
C440DN, combining high quality, high speed output
– 40ppm even when printing on both sides of the
page – with advanced security features that help
keep network and data safe.
These include an optional upgrade that enables a
single printer to be used on both a restricted closed
internal network and the general office network, thus
saving the expense of buying separate printers for
each network, without compromising sensitive data.
With the lowest total cost of ownership in its
class, the SP C440DN features numerous cost-
saving features, including an ECOnomy colour mode,
which uses less colour toner but maintains sharp,
clear text quality at all times.
For energy-efficiency, it has an on/off timer, an Eco
night sensor and an ultralow energy sleep mode that
uses less than 1 Watt of power.
Other useful features include a maximum paper
capacity of 2,300 sheets and an XPS Direct Print
Option that lets you print straight from a PC or USB
device without a driver.

Incentives
To celebrate such high customer
satisfaction levels, Ricoh has
launched a new end user promotion
for this quarter – the 99% incentive.
Giving businesses and
consumers yet another reason
to buy its printers, every month
until the end of September
Ricoh is randomly selecting 33
newly registered customers and
reimbursing them the cost of their
printer.
It has also introduced a
Cashback promotion for its SP
C250DN, SP C252DN, SP C250SF
colour printers. Until September
30 2016, customers who buy a
qualifying printer will receive up to
£80 cashback via bank transfer. For

Ricoh portal
As well as generating interest for
its products through initiatives such
as these, Ricoh is continuing to
develop the Ricoh Print and AV blog
(
where
customers can find out more about
Ricoh products and initiatives.
Providing a central point for
information on printers and
projectors, this portal has become
increasingly important as Ricoh has
ramped up its online and social
media marketing activities.
Steven Hastings, Ricoh IT
Distribution Channel Director,
Indirect Sales, said: “We have really
upped our social media presence
in the last couple of years, and I
don’t think end users want one URL
to collect cash back, another URL
to learn about a different incentive
and yet another URL for warranties.
Instead, we want to have once
central point where customers
can find details on products and
incentives and where resellers can
access channel-only sales support.”
The dedicated resource includes
information on printers, AV products
and specific MFPs that Ricoh is
making available from printer
resellers.
Discover Ricoh
Hastings is confident that these
initiatives will help increase the
visibility and accessibility of Ricoh
printers/MFPs and the Ricoh brand
for SMEs, corporates and public
sector organisations, allowing more
of them to ‘Discover Ricoh’.
“We need to make sure that
our products are as visible and as
accessible as they possibly can
be. In the past they might not have
been, but this is changing. The end
user blog we have built up and the
amount of traffic it now generates
has made Ricoh much easier for
end users to find.”
