Print IT Reseller - issue 48

PRINT IT RESELLER.UK 3 One common thread among the Print Predictions for 2018 (page 36) is that security will remain a high priority for businesses. The general consensus is that with GDPR coming into force in May, data and document security will be important areas for growth for the channel next year. Ringdale’s Eric Crump sees security as a key differentiator for printer and MFP vendors and warns that if resellers adopt the mindset that everyone is selling the same solutions, and focus on being competitive in other areas, the channel might be missing out on revenue (page 27). According to Louella Fernandes, Director at Quocirca, in a time of accelerating change when the rules of the workplace and workforce are being redefined, the print industry faces challenges in maintaining its relevance. On page 43, she highlights five strategies for print vendors to retain relevance and foster deeper customer connections. This month’s Q&A is with Dominic O’Connor, Director, Managed Technology and PITR spent 60 seconds with Toni Gibiino, Marketing Director, ABC Managed Solutions.
