Full cycle recognition
The European
Recovered
Paper Council
(ERPC) recently
recognised the
most innovative
paper recycling
projects at the
Third Annual
European Paper
Recycling
Awards, held at
the European Parliament in Brussels.
The awards recognise authorities,
organisations and companies who
have improved the collection or
recycling of paper through projects,
R&D, dissemination of information and
education.
Antalis McNaughton was highly
commended in the Technical
Improvement & R&D category for their
Full Cycle Paper Recycling programme.
Full Cycle is a credit-based closed loop
recycling scheme that recycles waste
paper from UK businesses back to print
and offce paper qualities to reuse again.

Amadeus sets the green
standard

voluntarily submitted Amadeus 100%
recycled Offset paper for evaluation to
theWWF's Check Your Paper database.
Check Your Paper is WWF’s global
database of eco-rated paper products.
This scheme aims to channel paper
consumption and production towards
alternatives with the least harmful
environmental impacts.
Amadeus 100% recycled Offset was
evaluated on key environmental impacts
such as forest impacts through wood
harvesting, greenhouse gas emissions,
water pollutants and waste. It scored 97
out of 100, receiving an excellent rating,
and is currently the highest scoring paper
among those submitted for review.

FSC accreditation
International Paper has underlined its commitment
to environmental sustainability by announcing that
its Impulse Copier grade is being re-launched and will
soon be available with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
accreditation.
The Impulse Copier range is manufactured at
International Paper’s Luiz Antonio paper mills, which
use virgin wood fbre sourced 100% from their own
plantations in Brazil, certifed according to the Brazilian
forest Certifcation Programme (CERFLOR), PEFC and
FSC. No wood from native forests is used. Average wood
procurement distance from the mill is 83 km. International
Paper’s paper mills are the best in class in terms of
environmental performance.
Impulse Copier range is a high contrast quality
multifunctional offce paper, ideal for all black and white
printing applications, providing consistently sharp and clear
results.
