ACCO Brands is aiming to simplify whiteboard
selection by dividing its Nobo whiteboard
range into four sub-brands segmented by
surface type: Diamond Glass, Prestige Enamel,
Nano Clean Steel and Classic Steel.
Chris Gaskell, senior director of channel and
brand marketing, ACCO Brands Europe, said:
“From steel surfaces ideal for moderate use to
sleek aesthetically pleasing glass boards for high
frequency use, each of the surface types in our
extensive range of whiteboards offers a solution
to fit the needs of any customer.”
Nobo Nano Clean Steel is a brand new
surface type featuring a smooth surface finish
that prevents pen ink from penetrating the
surface, enhancing durability and increasing
erasability performance by 30% compared to
painted steel. The surface is guaranteed for 15
years.
From January 2017, ACCO Brands’ entire
range of Nobo whiteboard products will be
included in a year-long promotion giving
customers the chance to win a £5,000 office
makeover. There will also be monthly prize
draws for 15 complete desk make-overs.

ACCO acquires Esselte
ACCO Brands, one of the world’s largest
designers, marketers and manufacturers
of branded business, academic and
consumer products, has acquired
office products company Esselte. The
combination improves ACCO Brands’
scale and enhances its position as an
industry leader in Europe.
“We are excited to add Esselte, its
talented employees and its portfolio of
products and brands to the ACCO Brands
family,” said Boris Elisman, Chairman,
President and Chief Executive Officer of
ACCO Brands. “This transaction, together
with the Pelikan Artline acquisition
completed in May 2016, is expected to
deliver approximately $31 million of annual
synergies by the third anniversary of the
Esselte closing.”
Millennials suffer most
from rising stress levels
With age comes not only wisdom, it seems,
but also higher levels of productivity and
greater resilience to growing workloads.
The
Wrike Digital Work Report
, based on a
survey of 3,000 office workers across Europe,
found that as work demands have gone up
in the past year, one third of over-55s in the
UK believe they still operate at productivity
levels of over 90%, compared to just 8% of
Millennials (aged 25-34).
More than two thirds (69%) of Millennials
say they find rising workloads harder to cope
with, compared to 54% of the over 55s. A
quarter of UK Millennials say they’ve taken
more days off sick as a result, compared to
13% among the over 55s.
