Fingerprint first
Following a brand
licensing agreement,
TCL Communication has
launched a new BlackBerry
smartphone. The BlackBerry
KEYone combines a touch
display with a physical
keyboard and is claimed to
be the first smartphone to
have a fingerprint sensor
built directly into the keyboard spacebar.
Pre-loaded DTEK by BlackBerry provides
extra security by constantly monitoring and
protecting the operating system and apps.
The Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 is the world’s first 3:2 aspect ratio, fully rugged 2-in-1 detachable
laptop; its larger 12in display making it a good choice for viewing business applications. Designed
for outdoor use, the touchscreen works in the rain, when the user’s wearing gloves and in bright
sunlight, thanks to a brightness of 1200cd/m2. There are two models to choose from, a tablet and
a 2-in-1 detachable laptop (tablet with keyboard dock). Useful options include twin hot swappable
batteries for extended operation when away from a power source and a vehicle docking adapter
that enables the CF-33 to be used with existing CF-31 vehicle docks.
