01732 759725 BULLETIN 6 Commercial helps flush away poverty Commercial is supporting the Toilet Twinning initiative run by charity Tearfund, twinning 23 toilet cubicles across its Cheltenham and London premises with a toilet in Malawi. Commercial chose to partner with Malawian toilets to build on existing links with the country. Some of its suppliers source raw materials in Malawi, and the company has previously donated refurbished IT equipment via IT Schools Africa. Simone Hindmarch-Bye, co-founder of Commercial said: “Toilet Twinning makes a tangible difference to communities suffering from the consequences of poor sanitation. A primary goal of our sustainability strategy is to support programmes delivering social benefits in countries where our goods originate. Twinning with toilets in Malawi is a simple but effective way to achieve this, while reminding ourselves of the things we take for granted.” Commercial will be hosting its tenth CSR Day on 28 June.
